Rick’s strip club empire to be sold at auction

A former strip club and property once belonging to the Colacurcio organized crime ring will be auctioned off next month.
The U.S Department of Justice will sell the former site of Rick’s and Talents West in Lake City to the highest bidder on June 29.
Rick’s and Talents West were owned and run by strip club boss Frank Colacurcio Sr. and his son, Frank Colacurcio Jr. The FBI froze all assets and shut the empire down, including Rick’s in Seattle, Fox’s in Parkland, Pierce County, Honey’s in Everett and Sugar’s in Shoreline, following a two-year investigation into prostitution at the clubs. Frank Sr. died in July of 2010, but Frank Jr. was convicted of racketeering in September of that year. He was sentenced to a year and a day in prison.
Officials will sell the properties for cash, with no contingencies on financing. Bidders must have a check on file for an initial deposit the day of auction – $100,00 for Rick’s and $50,000 for Talents West. The sale must close within 30 days, or the bidder will lose all of their deposit.
